In the West Asia Programming Contests, Sharif University of Technology claimed all four top spots, securing the championship of this edition and once again establishing the capabilities of Iranian students on the international stage.

According to the Public Relations Office of Sharif University of Technology, the 26th edition of the National Student Programming Contest was held on Friday, December 26, 2025, hosted by this university. The competition featured 90 three-member teams from 64 universities across the country. Over 250 top programmers from across the nation worked for five hours to solve a set of complex programming problems.
In the West Asia International Programming Contests, which served as a precursor to the ICPC 2026 World Finals in China, Sharif University of Technology teams achieved outstanding performances, securing all four top spots: according to the judges, the first place went to the team "lp1 on fire" (Parsa Pordeli, Amirhossein Farrokhandehfar, and Alireza Kavyani), the second place to the team "Big Dash" (Parsa Farajpour, Soheil Mohammadhani, and Amirhossein Vahidi Tabar), the third place to the team "SIA" (Amirali Asgari, Ilia Esfahani, and Shayan Razavi), and the fourth place to the team "More is less less" (Amirreza Dorosti, Parsa Golestani, and Alireza Rahimi).
According to the competition's secretariat, the champion team will be directly sent to the global stage in China, and the top 10 teams will prepare for the West Asia Championship in the next two months. These competitions will provide opportunities for more Iranian teams to advance to the global stage.
In parallel with this event, introductory and advanced Artificial Intelligence and programming courses for students were also held. According to the organizers, the winners of the competition will be able to benefit from the support of the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology and the National Elite Foundation's programs for the development of their future activities.
